Volkswagen Touareg

Renting a Volkswagen Touareg in Marrakech gives drivers a 2024–2026 automatic diesel SUV with five seats, four doors and air conditioning. Its elevated seating position and substantial SUV proportions work well for travelers combining Marrakech driving with longer paved routes across Morocco. The automatic gearbox also simplifies frequent changes of speed through busy junctions and hotel areas. MarHire Car Marrakech provides pickup at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) and free hotel delivery across the city. A refundable security deposit applies, and full insurance may be included under confirmed booking conditions. Drivers must be 25+.

Why the Volkswagen Touareg is a Top Choice in Marrakech

The Volkswagen Touareg combines automatic transmission, diesel power, five seats, four doors and air conditioning within a full-size SUV body. Its elevated seating position provides a higher view through Marrakech traffic, while the automatic gearbox simplifies driving through roundabouts, hotel entrances and changing traffic speeds. The Touareg is larger than compact crossovers, giving it a more substantial format for travelers who want additional road presence without moving into a seven-seat vehicle. Its diesel configuration is also practical for sustained paved driving beyond Marrakech and longer Moroccan itineraries.

What Comes with a Volkswagen Touareg Rental

Rentals longer than six days include unlimited kilometres, while shorter bookings follow an approved route plan. Drivers must be 25 or older, with 24/7 WhatsApp and roadside assistance available during the rental.

Best Day Trips from Marrakech in the Volkswagen Touareg

Imlil, around 60–70 km: The paved route passes through Tahnaout and Asni before climbing toward the High Atlas foothills. The Touareg’s elevated seating gives useful visibility as gradients and road widths change, while automatic transmission keeps repeated changes of speed easier to manage on the mountain approach.

Essaouira, around 175 km: This Atlantic route provides a longer and generally more open paved-road journey from Marrakech. The diesel Touareg fits sustained intercity driving well, while its SUV dimensions and five-seat layout remain useful for passengers carrying day-trip luggage or other travel essentials.

Who is the Volkswagen Touareg Best Suited For?

The Volkswagen Touareg works particularly well for couples, families, executives and small groups seeking an automatic five-seat SUV with a higher driving position. Its four doors make passenger access convenient for Marrakech Menara Airport arrivals and hotel collection, while the diesel setup suits travelers planning several paved regional or intercity journeys. The Touareg is especially relevant when a larger SUV format is preferred. Travelers spending most of their stay on tighter city streets may find a compact hatchback easier to manoeuvre and park.
